Katlyn's diary

Dear diary,
I haven't written in this thing in so long! I have been so busy with my paintings and all the clients. I find endless inspiration since Ecosia docks in so many places. Painting seagulls and the ocean are fun but I really love the cities we come across. The diverse cultures keep me awake painting and painting and painting! All the traveling also helps me sell my paintings. Though I have regular customers in Ecosia, my client list grows every time I show my paintings in different cities. I think I may have to refuse some art requests soon because Logan is heading to elementary school next week. I need to concentrate on my son during this big change in his life. Logan is so excited to go to a new school. His tuition-free preschool was fully equipped with new educational toys and well-trained teachers but there is nothing like going to, as Logan calls it, "real school". Oh I almost forgot to mention Ben! Ben has decided to go to Harvard and he told me the Ecosian government granted him a full scholarship. I'm very excited for him but at the same time, I'm going to miss my son...

Bella's letter

Dear David,
I heard about the seperation with Delia. I know it must be tough with the divorce and finding out your sister up and left New York without a word. I never meant to leave without telling any of you. I just got so sick of living in all that smog and noise that when Ecosia docked...I just got on. It's really great here! I finally feel like I can breathe! I found a job quickly and I already have a nice apartment with a scenic view. The huge window in my living room gives me breathtaking views. The best part about that window is that the scenes change everyday since Ecosia moves! Not only that, I get fresh carrots, turnips, potatos, and apples from my personal little garden. I can grow my favorite foods in that garden. David, your mind seems really muddled according to the report I got from mom. she says you just sleep all day in your room and eat delivered pizza whenever you get hungry. That doesn't sound anything like you! I think you really need a fresh start so why don't you come join me? You can get on in two weeks at New York according to the schedule! I'm sure some fresh air will clear your mind up! If you come live with me, I will even plant some pea plants(you know how much I hate peas). You can burn off all that pizza-eating fat at the gym as well! The gyms are amazing here! They use the machines to generate energy to move Ecosia around with the gyms. I'm sure after you get back in shape, you can move Ecosia half way around the world in just one work out session! Anyway, why don't you consider it? There are plenty of pretty girls in Ecosia once you feel like looking again.

Miss you,
Bella

Patrice's Diary

Ecosia is such a marvelous city. I wake up in the morning such a lovely sight of sun shine on the many vibrant flowers that bloom on our beautiful city. The parks, orchards, and gardens together look like another Eden. After waking up around seven in the morning, I have a thirty minute workout and start on making breakfast for my husband and children. I feel so good knowing that what I cook is nutritious for my family and that the produce I use is all organic and pesticide free, I should know my lovely neighbors and I grew them all in our community garden and mini orchard. I only need to go to the butcher, bakery and creamery once a week and that's all the shopping I have to do. As the kids head off to school and my husband to work I set about doing the household chores and around eleven start heading over to work in my electric/hydro powered car. I would arrive at home around four and start making dinner for my husband and kids. They would arrive just in time around half past five and we all sit down for dinner. Afterwards I would pop the dishes into the dishwasher and as John and I head over to the den, Annie and Joe would go to do their homework. On the weekends, I have the choice of going to the gym, the spa, yoga classes, or pilates classes. Let's not forget the huge shopping mall with all the latest styles and trends. Ecosia is a mobile city and thus this is very possible. This city has it all. It is environmentally friendly, all the while with all the latest clothes, electronics and the works. I should have moved here earlier, life is totally great here.

Joe's Journal

It is fun living in Ecosia. I go to school at 8:30 have lunch around 12:30 and get off at 4:30. The teachers are really nice and the playground is huge. At school everyone gets to choose what classes they want, when they want it, and with whom they want it with. We have two state of the art computer labs that are run on last week's lunch. Did I mention that everyone has their own PDA/Cell phone like device (We call it PCD) that runs on solar energy? All the kids get one when we get into school. We have mandatory gym everyday for three hours, but that's alright. I just plug my PCD in and it gets recharged as I work out. On the weekends, I could either go to the gym to meet with my friends to see who can run the most, go to the movies, or the arcade store. Since Ecosia is a Mobile city, the movie theater has all the latest movies from around the world. Not to mention that if I wanted to buy the latest videogame I don't have to wait for it to be released in my country because I can just get it when Ecosia travels to that country. How cool is that! Too bad for all the other gamers, they have to wait for it to be released where they live. Ecosia's such a good place to live in.

Bob's Journal

Today I woke up to the beautiful Antarctic ice, a stark contrast from yesterday's Caribbean sunrise. I headed to my garden to do my morning stretches, as well as pick a potato from my garden for breakfast. The fries from those fast food places don't even come close to my organic hash. After that delicious fast breaking, I got ready to go to work. I took the scenic ride on the EMS towards EEC3. I'm always captivated by how well the flowers grow in the city. We Ecosians really have mastered the beauty of the earth. At EEC3, I walked past the exercise facility to the energy facility. There was a larger turnout of exercisers today, probably trying to get their quotas done early. With a larger turnout we gained a lot more electricity today, enough to power the whole district for a few days! After work I decided to finish one of my exercise hours since it was a convenient 50-foot walk. After that workout, I headed home to check on my garden. The pomegranates are starting to grow! I picked some lettuce to make a salad for dinner and headed back inside. After dinner I sorted the garbage to appropriately recycle it. I am still amazed how every bit of trash is converted into energy to help fuel the city. After the short task, I relaxed with a good book. Now I am here writing in my journal, reminiscing on my productive day for Ecosia. These journal entries really help me to appreciate the wonder of this great city and help me realize that I truly am living in a utopia.
